Thiruvananthapuram: ‘Opening of Chambers Spells Danger for Country’

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 10: On the second day of the divine query procedure being guided by noted astrologers at Lord Anantapadmanabha Swamy Temple here, the astrologers got signals that unearthing of the wealth stashed away in the secret cellars of the temple can spell doom for the country.

The divine query (Devaprashnam) has been organised by the royal family, to find what do the divine powers have to say, relating to the opening of the temple’s secret cellars under the directions of the Supreme Court.

The query found that there have been grave deviations in following certain rituals at the temple, which originally belonged to Brahmins, before being taken over by royals. The calculations indicated that the divine powers want the forest relating to the temple, which is in a state of utter neglect, to be properly conserved. It noted that a temple belonging to the lineage of Bilvamangala Swamijis to the west of this temple has not been renovated as per procedure. It pointed out that there have been defects in the idols of deities, that the idol of Lord Ganapati fround from the temple pond is not being worshipped as required, and that there is defect in the hood of the presiding deity of the temple.

About 80 people having expertise in this procedure are taking part in the Devaprashanam at the temple. Raja Martanda Varma of Travancore royal family, was also present.
