Mangaluru: New premises of MCC Bank Ashoknagar branch inaugurated

Mangaluru, Sep 9: For the convenience of the esteemed constituents of the bank, the Ashoknagar branch of MCC Bank Limited was shifted to the fully air-conditioned premises with ATM facility located on the ground floor of Parijatha complex, Near Kavitha Residency, Urwa Store on September 9.

The inauguration programme was presided over by the chairman of the bank.

The new premises of Ashoknagar branch was inaugurated by Dr J B Saldanha, PRO Mangalore diocese. The ATM was inaugurated by Fr Joseph Martis, parish priest, Most Holy Redeemer Church, Derebail. The safe room was inaugurated by Fr Benjamin Pinto, parish priest, Immaculate Conception Church, Urwa. Francis Alfred Concessao proprietor, Concessao Enterprises, Alake, Mangaluru, who was the guest of honour inaugurated the E-Stamp facility. Fr Dilip Veigas, OP, assistant parish priest, St Dominic Church, Ashoknagar blessed the new premises and the ATM.

The stage programme started with a prayer song conducted by Karen Crasta and team.

Anil Lobo, Dr J B Saldanha, Fr Dilip Veigas, Fr Benjamin Pinto, Fr Joseph Martis, and Francis Alfred Concessao were on the dais.

Anil Lobo, chairman of the bank, in his presidential address informed the gathering that the assurance given by the management at the customer meet held last year that the branch will be shifted to a more convenient location has been fulfilled. He said that all the banking services available at MCC Bank are at par with nationalised and other commercial banks. He said that the bank has been responsive to the needs and aspirations of the customers. The staff of the bank have been trained to be more customer centric giving preference to the banking needs of the customers. He also assured the customers about the safety and security of the funds with the bank, as the bank is regulated by the Reserve Bank of India and the deposits are insured by DIGCC. He called upon the customers to support the community’s only bank with a long history of 111 years so that more employment opportunities can be created along with the progress of the bank. He requested the customers to come out with their feedback and suggestions which will help in improving the service of the bank and the bank becoming one of the most efficiently run banks in the region.

Dr J B Saldanha, who inaugurated the new premises, congratulated the chairman and his team for shifting the branch to a more convenient location with ATM facility. He appreciated the providing of a good parking facility, convenient space for the customers to conduct their transactions in a comfortable manner. He also appreciated the professionalism and positive attitude of the staff who serve the customers with a smile. He wished all the very best for the development of the bank.

Fr Joseph Martis, while addressing the gathering, congratulated the management for providing customer friendly ambience. He appreciated the excellent customer service offered by the staff who always make banking with MCC Bank, a joyful experience.

Krishna Kaushal, owner of new premises, and Karthik Kiran, civil engineer were honoured for providing the premises and the excellent work done at the new premises, respectively.

Vice chairman Jerald Jude D’Silva, directors Dr Gerald Pinto, Joseph Anil Patrao, Roshan D’Souza, Herold John Monteiro, David D’Souza, Melwyn Vas, Vincent Lasrado, Irene Rebello, C G Pinto, general manager Sunil Menezes were present.

Sushanth Saldanha, branch support director welcomed the gathering.

Lancy Lobo, branch manager, proposed a vote of thanks and Viola Pinto Bajpe compered the programme.
