Mangalore, Aug 12: Mahoortham of a Konkani comedy drama 'Sangon Mugdana' written by Pradeep Barboza Paladka, Dubai, was held at Don Basco hall here by the Konkani Naatak Saba Mangalore for the sake of their annual day celebrated on September 25.

Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Walter Dantis said that off late, people have been holding discussions in the media on the survival of 'Konkani'. "If those people, instead, say, aprticipate actively in the Konkani activities, then only will the language survive."

On behalf of Pradeep Barboza, his uncle, a master at Milargres High School, Avid Barboza handed over the drama script to the president
of the Konkani Natak Saba who inturn handed it over to the director Adolphu Cuthina (Dolla, Mangalore)

Dolla explained the script of the drama and distributed all the characters to the respective actors present and announced that pratice would begin from August 17.

Editor of Sevak Fr Prakash Lobo, vice president of konkani Natak Saba Gretta Rebelllo, Mr. Noel D’Almeida, Dubai, assistant director Claude D’Souza among others were present.
