Mangaluru, Sep 10: "I will be very happy if the police arrest me. We will definitely hold Ganeshotsava in the Mangaluru University campus," declared Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat.
Bhat made these remarks during a gathering organized by Sangh Parivar at Asaigoli grounds, where they were condemning Stalin's statement and opposing Ganeshotsava at Mangaluru University.
Bhat went on to say, "Who are the outsiders? We are all within this country itself. We are all devotees of Lord Ganesh, and we will unquestionably celebrate the Ganesh festival at Mangaluru University."
"Our country is founded on religious principles, and it is the most secular Hindu country. We must respect each other. If the university community wants to worship Allah, they should be allowed to do so. Didn't they provide a platform to Shamsul Islam, who speaks against Hindus?"
He continued, "Congress working president Satish Jarkiholi and Home Minister Prameshwar speak about the Hindu religion. We are not requesting the introduction of a new idol of Lord Ganesha in the university. If Lord Ganesha is honored, the entire university will prosper."
"MLA Ullal is behind this. He visits our temples, and he will also attend Ganeshotsava. There is no need for politics in this matter. He is the speaker now. We will undoubtedly install the idol of Lord Ganesha in the Mangaluru University auditorium on September 19."
Bhat expressed concerns about the decreasing number of Hindus in Ullal and suggested that certain areas have transformed into something resembling Pakistan. He also voiced frustration with members of Hindu society who support anti-Hindu sentiments for political reasons.
