Mangalore: 92.7 BIG FM Releases Audio CD on ‘Indian Independence Struggle’

Mangalore, Aug 15: 92.7 BIG FM organized the distribution of audio CD on history of Indian Independence Struggle for the students of Roman and Catherine Lobo Blind School at the school premises on Saturday August 14.

Vijayanath Shetty, Trustee of Sri Bhoothanatheshwara Temple, Mijar, Commissioner of
Mangalore City Corporation Vijay Prakash, director of Seva Bharathi Trust Dr U V Shenoy were the chief guests for the programme. Principle of Roman & Catherine Lobo School for the Blind School Calistus was present.

92 pages of history of Indian independence, stories of unheard freedom fighters and national heroes, history of national flag and national anthem were recorded by the team of 92.7 BIG FM for the blind school students. It was a distinctive initiative by 92.7 BIG FM team to spread the patriotism through the stories of Indian Independence to the students.

The audio CD was released by the chief guests on the occasion. The programme started with the lighting of lamp.

Delivering the key note address Vijay Prakash appreciated the 92.7 BIG FM team on their initiative which sets a good example to the society and gives a call to take up the social work for the betterment of the society. He also highlighted the importance of donating the eyes which could become the light to the life of a blind person.

Addressing the gathering Vijayanath Shetty highlighted the importance of social work which can completely change the working of the society. He congratulated the 92.7 BIG FM team for their successful attempt of spreading a good message on patriotism through the audio CD. He appreciated the work of the trust in running the blind school and its environment which helps the students to learn the new things.

A demo and distribution of audio CD was followed by the inauguration. RJ Raj of 92.7 BIG FM was felicitated by Vijayanath Shetty for contributing his voice for the audio CD. The Roman and Catherin Lobo Blind School is run by Seva Bharathi Trust, Mangalore. The work of 92.7 BIG FM was appreciated by the gathering.

RJ Errol Gonsalves proposed the vote of thanks Team of BIG FM Sarfaraj, Jigar, Rj Varsha, RJ Raj, RJ Errol Gonsalves and Sudhish were present on the occasion. Rj Varsha welcomed the gathering and compered the programme.
