Mangaluru: Lightning strike – Wall of house damaged

Mangaluru, Sep 17: A house in Mura, Muthur village, suffered damage to its wall due to a lightning strike on Saturday.

Heavy rain had been pouring in Mura, Muthhur village on Saturday morning when lightning struck the residence of Anthony D’Souza, causing damage to electrical appliances. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Praveen Alva, the Gram Panchayat president, along with vice president Sushma, secretary Vasanti, and members Thomas Herald Rosario, Satish Poojary Ballaje, Taranatha Kulal, and revenue officers, visited the affected house.
