Enough is enough. Day by day we are seeing more accidents from local bus. We don't want speed bus. First of all the road rule is not maintained. Unless it have 6lane the bus should go max 60km/h only. Put on speed kit to all the local and express bus. They are driving like bike and whole road is theirs, we should give them space and blowing horn all of a sudden, they think all the vehicles are not locals. Even I bought up from here went in this local bus only. Now the traffic is more and road is not wide. Requesting police commissioner and DC or higher authority to take necessary action to keep good road rules in the city also to give frequent training to these drivers and conductors of bus to safe guard the lives of mangalore riders and travellers. Why urgency. Bus or other heavy vehicles should always go less than 60km/hour. No urgency

Bus own our system by paying monthly fee . So whatever theirs specially abled without brain and eye (almost all private bus drivers) do will go unnoticed. Whatever happens to public no one is bothered. Police easily turn blind eye. No day goes by without seeing these Yamadoota s violating rules. But police don't see any.All hands are tied . Human life is cheap. Maul anybody sit in a police station for 1 hour, keep joking and laughing pay 700 go sit behind steering for next task. Must maintain speed of atleast 60 on service roads too, where nobody's bothered to install speed breakers.

In which country you will find u_ turns on highways? which means the driver who wants to take U-turn is literally gazing at his death because he has ryget on the fastest lane on the other side. Specially in our district we have created these unscientific U-turns because we want short cuts . Close those extra U-turns and keep only few with a traffic personnel.

Wearing Helmet perhaps would have minimized injuries. Indeed negligent driving needs immediate suspension of license. He is not fit to drive on roads endangering lives of general public.Pleae lmplement rules and regulationas followed for offenders in USA.or any other progressive country.

See the impact of the collision; when such a big loaded bus bangs you at high speed, no helmet in this world can save you except the Creator; BTW, just see the way this bus was being driven and hit two innocent youngsters; it's equivalent to manslaughter!!

If you observe carefully the fourth image from top both the persons wearing raincoat who had fallen down were wearing helmets. (The two in the third image wearing a blue shirt and one in white shirt were not wearing helmets.) BTW helmets are banned in Commonwealth boxing games because more fatal injuries were caused in those wearing helmets, the reason being- helmets restrict the field of vision- helmets esp full face helmets definitely restrict the field of vision , which one can easily test at home.

Monty, I agree with your comments; you seem to be a very well informed person! BTW; I would like to add here that wearing unscientifically designed helmets can do more harm than prevent death; wearing such cheap helmets can break the spine at C4-5 level while saving the heat leading to permanent paraplegia, which is worse than death!!

Only solution is to totally ban PVT bus services in city areas; there is substantial amount of evidence to kick this cartel, out or else these incidents will never decrease; common man's life will be always at high risk when he is on the roads!

This is what happens when driving license is issued by agents. Most of the RTO services are online now but the number of agents in RTO compound of Mangalore are more than the service takers and providers.Unauthorized agents should be banned from RTO. They charge Rs 2500 and above for a work of Rs 400. In many cities across India they are banned and arrested if they come within 100 meters Speed of RTO.Also speed and distance between 2 vehicles can prevent many accidents.

Private buses in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi are killer buses on prowl Drivers are wreckless they don't have any sense , best to do is nationalise all of them and government should take over.it reminds the incident 10-15 days back a bus conductor fell out of the bus and died - after this lot of hallabulla about doors to fixed etc by both the police and owners, nothing has happened so far/Best thing to do is fix speed governors in all buses and they should not overspeed, it should be fixed at 60 kms per hour,Regarding honking and loud horns - action to be taken

I just saw this video and the distance that AKMS driver maintained with the bus ahead of him was too dangerous. Kindly impose strict punishment so that other drivers learn a lesson not to play with common people's life!!!

This express bus waala joker was busy racing with with KSRTC Volvo on a wet road. The driver of the AKMS Express bus should be booked for attempt to murder. RTO and Traffic Police should be held accountable for their inability to curb the madness of these Express bus rowdies!!!!
