Dasara getaways: KSRTC rolls out five special temple tours from Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Oct 5: The Mangaluru division of the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has rolled out five special package tours covering popular temples and tourist destinations across coastal Karnataka and neighbouring regions for the Dasara season.

The special services will operate from October 11 to 20, offering travellers a range of one-day temple and sightseeing packages. Advance seat reservations are available through the KSRTC website, www.ksrtc.in, the KSRTC Divisional Controller said.

Under the Mangaluru Dasara Navadurga Darshan package, the bus will leave Mangaluru bus stand at 8 am and cover Soorya Narayana Temple, Maroli; Mariamma Temple, Bolar; Mangaladevi Temple; Polali Rajarajeshwari Temple; Kodiyadka Annapoorneshwari Temple at Hosnadu; Kateel Durgaparameshwari Temple; Bappanadu Durgaparameshwari Temple; Sasihithlu Bhagavathi Temple; Chitrapura Durgaparameshwari Temple; Urwa Mariamma Temple; and Kudroli Gokarnatheshawara Temple, before returning to Mangaluru at 8.30 pm.

The fare is Rs 500 for adults and Rs 400 for children aged six to 12.

The Mangaluru-Talacauvery-Bhagamandala package will depart at 7 am and take passengers to Puttur Mahalingeshwara Temple, Talacauvery Temple, Bhagandeshwara Temple, Triveni Sangama, Abbi Falls and Raja Seat, before returning to Mangaluru at 9.30 pm. The fare is Rs 600 for adults and Rs 500 for children aged six to 12.

The Mangaluru-Kollur package will begin at 8 am, covering Uchila Mahalakshmi Temple, Kaup Mariamma Temple, Mandarthi Durgaparameshwari Temple, Kamalashile Brahmi Durgaparameshwari Temple, Kollur Mookambika Temple and Maranakatte Brahmalingeshwara Temple. The bus will return to Mangaluru at 8 pm.

The fare is Rs 600 for adults and Rs 500 for children aged six to 12.

Under the Mangaluru-Sigandur package, the bus will leave at 7 am, covering Kundapura, Sigandur Chowdeshwari Temple and Kollur Mookambika Temple, and return to Mangaluru by 7.30 pm. The fare is Rs 700 for adults and Rs 600 for children aged six to 12.

The Mangaluru-Sringeri Dasara package will depart at 8 am and cover Kodiyadka Annapoorneshwari Temple, Sringeri Sharadamba Temple, Hariharapura Math, Rishyasringeshwara Temple and Kigga, before returning to Mangaluru at 7.30 pm. The fare is Rs 600 for adults and Rs 500 for children aged six to 12.
