In Puttur, 254 families have applied for the benefits, while in Beltangady and Bantwal only 191 and 491 applications respectively have been registered online.
Due to server connectivity problem, people faced many obstacles while registering for ambitious projects of state government like Grihajyoti and Grihalaxmi. For ration card amendments, an opportunity was given after a long gap. However, in rural areas people faced inconvenience as the website did not open due to server issue.

A housewife said that she could not add her daughter’s name in the ration card due to server issue on all the three days. Many people have faced similar problems. Now public is urging the government to give another opportunity to carry out amendment and register for the schemes.
Many women could not get the benefit of Grihalaxmi scheme as they could not amend the name of the woman head of the family.
Saraswati, food department officer of Puttur taluk office said, “Many applications were registered in three days. We are yet to verify the applications. The department will fix a separate day for the same. On that day the applications will be verified.”
