Bantwal: Car crosses divider, collides with vehicles - Labourer seriously injured

Bantwal, Sep 20: In a morning incident near Tumbe on the Mangalore-Bangalore National Highway, a car veered across the divider, causing severe injuries to a laborer working on the median.

The injured laborer, Nagaraj Lamani, hails from Haveri.

The driver of the car lost control, breaching the divider and striking the labourer, who was engaged in removing grass from the median. Subsequently, the car crossed onto the opposite side of the road, resulting in a collision between another car and a motorcycle.

The collision led to damage to both the car and the motorcycle involved. Fortunately, the occupants of these vehicles escaped without any injuries.

The injured labourer on the divider was promptly transported to a hospital in Mangaluru, where he is currently receiving treatment.

Traffic Sub-Inspector Sutesh and Assistant Sub-Inspector Vijay have registered a case in connection with the incident.
