Mangaluru: KNS to present Stany Bela's prize winning drama 'Carmel Second Street' on Sep 24

Mangaluru, Sep 23: Konkani Natak Sabha (KNS) is all set to present their new drama 'Carmel Second Street' on Sunday, September 24 at Don Bosco Hall.

The play ‘Carmel Second Street’ won the second prize in the play writing competition organized by Mandd Sobhann, written by known young Konkani-Kannada writer Stany Bela. 'Babuti' fame Mellu Valencia, the serial actor is the director of the drama.

Along with Konkani serial actors Rita Fernandes Bendur, Jeevan Vas Kulshekar, Joshal D’Souza, KNS’ artistes Cletus Urva, Loy Rego Bendur, Prashanth Modankap, Floyd D’Mello Cascia, Jossie Theodore Cascia, and director Mellu Valencia himself will be seen in the drama which falls under the social satire category. Alwyn Bajal is handling the stage while Sanjay Rodrigues has composed the music.

Before the drama, the KNS will bestow Kalakar Puraskar on three eminent theatre personalities on the occasion of its 80th annual day. The KNS will also presents prizes to the winners of its annual competitions.

The programme will start sharp at 5 pm and the entry is free.
