Bantwal: KSRTC bus hits electric pole in bid to avert mishap, no injuries reported

Bantwal, Sep 24: A KSRTC bus hit an electric pole in a bid to rescue a goods auto that was trying to overtake the bus on Friday, September 22 in the night at Kandoor of Sajipamooda village on the Melkar-Mudipu road. No injuries or casualties were reported.

The bus was moving towards B C Road from Kasaragod. The driver of the goods auto overtook a scooter and the bus was heading from the opposite end when the accident occurred.

The driver of the bus took the vehicle to his left in a bid to avoid hitting the auto and ended up hitting the electric pole.

The electric pole was smashed into two due to the impact of the collision. The front portion of the bus was completely damaged.

A case has been filed in this connection with the Bantwal traffic police station.
