Mangaluru, Sep 20: In a major initiative to revitalize coastal tourism, the Karnataka state government has given the green signal for the construction of the 'Mangaluru Eye', a towering 200-metre commercial complex and skyscraper in the city.

The ambitious infrastructure project will be developed under the public-private partnership (PPP) model with the assistance of viability gap funding (VGF).

Designed to be a landmark tourist attraction, the 'Mangaluru Eye' will feature three community halls and a revolving restaurant.

In Dakshina Kannada, communal harmony and peace must always come first. Anyone who deliberately creates communal tension, spreads hatred, or disturbs peace must face strict legal action—without fear or favour. Whether they are ordinary individuals or political leaders, no one should be spared or given special treatment. Political power or position must never put anyone above the law. Action must be fair, firm, and equal for everyone responsible for disturbing communal harmony.

It's such a waste of money. There aren't proper roads to commute. Yet this govt is building a sky scraper. It will be so expensive that It will be so un affordable. Consider fixing the fundamentals of a city. Rest will follow.
