Mangaluru: Ullal Dargah committee holds mammoth Milad Swalath procession

Mangaluru, Sep 28: Eid Milad Swalat procession was held on Thursday on account of Prophet Mohammed Mustafa’s birthday.

Khateeb of Central Juma mosque Ibrahim Saadi and principal of Sayyed Madani Shariath College Ahmed Kutty Sakafi offered Dua prayers.

President Hanif Hajee hoisted the flag. A procession was held under the leadership of Hanif Hajee from Kotepura to Ullala Dargah. Madrasa students of 32 mohallas of Ullal, Muallims, religious leaders and various mohalla committee members took part. The procession was inaugurated by speaker U T Khader.

Kotepura Khateeb Irshad Sakafi offered prayers. Kotepura mosque president Abbas Kotepura welcomed the procession. During the procession Duff, Maulood recitation and messages of prophet were raised.

In the Milad Jaatha valedictory function that was held at the Dargah, speaker U T Khader said, “We should follow world prophet’s life. We should live in love and harmony. Peace and patience are very important. If patience is not there it is not possible to live life of unity. We should preserve unity in society.”

Dargah president Haneef Hajee said, “We should follow the messages of Prophet and lead a good life. We should live unitedly. If his life is understood our life will become successful. Let the riots of Manipur get over due to the Dua offered here.”

Dargah chief secretary Shihabuddin Sakafi rendered vote of thanks. Dargah vice president Ashraf Ahmed Right Way, treasurer Nazeem Mukkacheri, auditor Farooq Kallapu, secretary Isaac Melangadi, former president Hamza Hajee, U K Monu Ismail, city police commissioner Anupam Agarwal, Faruk Mukkaccheri, Ashraf Akkarekare, Ameer Kallapu, Azeez Kodi and members of Committee and Mohalla committee were present.
