Kundapura, Sep 28: Registration for Manipal Health card 2023 has been set into motion. Kasturba hospital Manipal manager Mohan Shetty said that November 30 is the last day for its registration.
Speaking at a news conference held at Kundapura, he said that the 125th birth anniversary of far sighted founder Dr T M A Pai is being celebrated this year.
“It is our duty and responsibility to remember his generosity. The registration for Dr T M A Pai Manipal Health card 2023 named after the inspiring leader who made health facilities easily available to the society has begun. It is intended by means of the card to make quality health facilities available to people within their reach. It provides concessions on all the health facilities in the hospitals. Anybody can become its member by paying a nominal amount and obtain its benefits. The amount used for the card can be recovered during its two or three uses. Value for the entire family and reliable service is the motto of the card," Mohan Shetty said.
The card was started in the year 2000 as part of social responsibility. Everybody should obtain hospital facilities at discounted rates if not free, was its intention.
An individual card will cost Rs 300 per year. It will cost Rs 600 for himself, spouse and children below 25 years of age. The charges for the card holder, his spouse, children below 25 years of age, four elders including parents, father-in-law and mother-in-law are Rs 750. The charges for two years plan are Rs 500 for individual, Rs 800 for family and Rs 950 for family plus scheme,” he said.
“50% concession will be available for outpatient consultation of specialist or super speciality doctor. 30% on lab tests, 20% on CT Scan, MRI, Ultra sound and 20% on diabetes tests. For inpatients in ordinary wards 25% discount will be allowed except on items used. 12% discount will be allowed on purchase of medicines," Shetty said.
The card is valid in all the Manipal hospitals in coastal Karnataka and Goa. The card can be used any number of times. Details of the card can be obtained by giving a missed call to 8867579797
