Mangalore: Special Olympic Medal Winners Felicitated in Vamanjoor

Mangalore, Aug 18: A felicitation programme was organized for the medal winners of Special Olympics at Vamanjoor here, recently.

Vicar general of Mangalore diocese Msgr Denis Prabhu presided over the programme. The achievements done in the filed of sports by the children were truly commendable, said Denis Prabhu and added that organizing such a function to honour such talented children too is praiseworthy.

The medal winners Pramila Pinto, Anil Mendonca, Dhanya Rao and Royston Pinto were felicitated on the occasion along with their coach.

Neermarga panchayat member Yashodha, Moodushedde gram panchayat president Umesh J, Zilla panchayat member Melvyn D’Souza, Yashawanti Alva, corporator Jyothi Jayaprakash, taluk panchayat member Shashiprabha, Harish among others were present on the occasion.

Felicitation committee president Roshan M Kamath welcomed the gathering. Committee member T Nagendra Rao proposed the vote of thanks. Charles Pais compered the programme.
