Mangaluru: Orange alert declared in coastal region for next 24 hours

Mangaluru, Sep 29: The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in coastal Karnataka including Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district in the next 24 hours.

According to statistics of Karnataka natural disaster in-charge centre orange alert is declared in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi till Saturday September 30 afternoon.

Yellow alert is declared for Sunday and Monday.

Wind velocity is expected to be 55 km per hour. Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea.
