Mangaluru, Sep 29: Ullal police have taken into custody the lorry that was used to illegally transport sand and arrested its driver.
The lorry was stopped near Kuthar and its driver, Aksharnagar residentKhalandar Shafi (20) was taken into custody by the police.
The operation was conducted under the leadership of Ullal police station inspector H N Balakrishna.
