Puttur, Sep 30: A young man drowned in the lake and died during a trip with friends to Wayanad.
The deceased is identified as Azeem (20), a resident of Adekkal, Herebandadi, near Puttur. He was employed in Bengaluru and had gone on a trip to Wayanad in the company of his friends on Friday September 29.
They stayed in a room at night and got down to a lake near Payyanur for a bath in the morning on Saturday. It is reported that Azeem drowned and died in the lake.
His mortal remains were reportedly shifted to Periyar medical college mortuary.
