Shimoga: Reddys Induction Subject to Legal Clearance – Eshwarappa

Daijiworld Media Network – Shimoga (SP)

Shimoga, Aug 19: State BJP president, K S Eshwarappa, said that a final decision about accommodating the Reddy Brothers, who are facing certain charges as explained in the Lokayukta report on mining, in the state ministry, will be taken subject to the opinion the legal experts will give on the issue.

Speaking to reporters here on Thursday August 18, Eshwarappa noted that the Lokayukta, who has included the names of Reddy Brothers in his report, has also advised against including them in the state cabinet. He added that the Reddy Brothers have, through a petition handed over to him, denied these allegations. “This petition has been handed over to legal experts. The experts will go through the Lokayukta report in detail, and then come out with their opinion. On the basis of this opinion, we will decide about the inclusion or otherwise of Reddy Brothers in the state ministry,” Eshwarappa added.

He denied that the party had earmarked certain ministerial berths for Reddy Brothers. “The party has taken a clear stand on the issue. There is no question of reserving any seats. The remaining berths will be filled soon. While filling these vacancies, we will consider district-wise, community-wise, and region-wise representations,” he explained.
