Mangaluru, Oct 11: Shivamogga has become a hideout for terrorists. It is evident from the recent violence, said MLA Vedavyas Kamath.

Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, October 11, Kamath accused Congress of downplaying these issues, claiming that provocative banners have been displayed. He also alleged that the current government is intimidating RTI activists and diverting funds of Rs 11,000 crore, which were initially reserved for the welfare of SC/STs, causing a betrayal to Dalits.

Furthermore, Kamath pointed out that residents are facing difficulties when visiting government offices like the RTO, City Corporation, Sub-Registrar Office, and others due to server problems, and he criticized the government for not addressing these issues.

Kamath criticized the government for initially promising 200 units of free electricity but later increasing electricity bills and implementing load shedding. He also alleged that the state's residents are grappling with several problems due to poor government administration.

The press conference was attended by former mayors Diwakar and Premananda Shetty, along with BJP leaders Roopa Bangera, Nithin Kumar, and Vijay Kumar Shetty, among others.
