Sullia: Absconding warrant accused from Kasargod arrested

Sullia, Oct 1: The local police have arrested a warrant accused who had been absconding for about a year to evade court appearances.

The arrested individual has been identified as Ashraf, a resident of Kasargod in Kerala. He was wanted in connection with a case (Crime No: 252/2014) registered at the Sullia police station under sections 399 and 402 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Sullia police station staff, including head constable Raju Naik and police constable Santhosh, apprehended the accused.

Following his arrest, Ashraf was produced before the court, which subsequently remanded him to judicial custody.
