Mangaluru, Oct 18: District in-charge minister Dinesh Gundu Rao said on Wednesday October 18 that BJP is making baseless allegations against the Congress-led state government.
Speaking to mediapersons on BJP’s allegations that the state government has become an ATM for the Congress, he said, “The BJP are constantly making baseless allegations now. They scared of the defeat in the five state elections which will be held soon. In Karnataka, the BJP faced a big defeat. The nation knows how the BJP government ruled in the state. People have seen how the state was misused. The IT, ED and CBI are under the BJP. During the BJP’s tenure, we had not seen any raid on their own leaders.
“They have been demanding a CBI probe into the IT raid. The IT department itself should hand over the case to the CBI. People caught in the raids are not from the Congress. The guilty will be punished. We do not need to intervene,” he said.
On leaders from other parties joining the Congress, he said, “If leaders voluntarily join the Congress, we can speak to them. There is no need of creating any conflict between the political parties. We do not have any idea how many from JD(S) will join the Congress. They might be unhappy with the development taking place in their party. It is common to have such development in politics.
“Who had undertaken ‘operation kamala’? People have seen how the BJP ruined the system. The BJP are expert in distributing money and threatening with raids to run ‘operation kamala’,” he said.
