Kundapur, Oct 19: Baikady Suprasad Shetty, president of administrative board of Brahmavar Sugar factory challenged Congress and Raitha Sangha, who are alleging scam without any proof just for political gain, to hold comprehensive investigation right from the inception of the factory.

Speaking to media at Brahmavar, Shetty said, “Congress and Raitha Sangha are unnecessarily creating issues. When the new administrative committee assumed power, the factory did not have electricity also. Rs 18 crore was outstanding. If we did not repay the loan, the company would have been auctioned long back. The factory which had Rs six lac book value is worth Rs 250 crore now. The previous administrative board and Congress leaders, who are unable to bear our success have begun street fight.

“If they want to investigate let them begin from the inception. Let everyone know how much scam everyone has done. Who are the ones who ran private grinding mill, got sugarcane from farmers and made loss to the factory? Where did the money go that was spent in the name of maintenance? Where did the money that was kept pending without paying salaries of workers go? Let everything come out from the investigation. Let them know the reality before accusing us. Instead of doing politics, let them bring pressure on their own government and take the factory towards development.”
