Mangaluru, Oct 22: Chess enthusiasts at Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University showcased their mental acumen and strategic ability at the chess tournament held on October 18 on the their campus at Hampankatta. The event, which drew participants with excellent skill levels, was a testament to the enduring popularity of this ancient board game and its role in fostering critical thinking and sportsmanship among students.

Ultimately, from the UG level, the Team Manipushpaka, Mohammed Hifaz (First year BBA Aviation & Logistics Management) emerged as the champions and the Runner-up was from the team Panchajanya, Jrezel Hensil Castalino (First year BBA Aviation Management). From the PG Level Ajsal K was announced as the winner. Their victories were well-deserved with the contestants showcasing their strategic brilliance and chess mastery.

The annual college chess tournament not only celebrated the intellectual rigor of the game but also served as a platform for the students to bond over their shared passion for chess. In the wake of this memorable chess tournament, the enduring spirit of competition, camaraderie, and strategic brilliance prevailed, leaving the participants eagerly anticipating next year's chess battles.
