Mysuru, Oct 25: Describing JD(S) State president and former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy as a 'political villain', Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday reacted to the latter's comments and remarks comparing the former to all the villains as ridiculous.

"Kumaraswamy’s description of the chief minister as Nero fiddling for watching the cricket match at the Chinnaswamy Stadium shows his mentality. When an important sporting event takes place in the city, has the chief minister no freedom to go and watch to cheer,’’ he asked while speaking to media persons in Mysuru.

Siddaramaiah attacked Kumaraswamy for sitting in the US when his own government collapsed. "During the 14 months he was chief minister, he spent the time at the West End Hotel and is now criticising me for watching a cricket match,’’ he said.

In response to Kumaraswamy's tweet that his government was brought down by Siddaramaiah and asking him to accept it, the chief minister said when Kumaraswamy spoke after the 'no confidence' motion in the assembly, he had said that it was the BJP that had brought down this government.

"I can release the document. He is speaking something else now. That means that he had misled the Assembly,’’ he said pointing out that Kumaraswamy "was sitting in Taj West End, instead of meeting the ministers and legislators,’’ he said.

Reacting to a question that Kumaraswamy is making more accusations than the BJP, the chief minister said that politically frustrated people speak nonsense.

He said: "Kumaraswamy is speaking nonsense as he is desperate. He is more desperate than the BJP. He would not have won a single seat if he had not joined the BJP. They are dependent on each other just like how the blind and the crippled are dependent on each other.’’

Responding to a question on complaints to the high command regarding money being collected for elections, he said that they are lying that the five state elections are being held.

He dismissed Kumaraswamy’s charge that artificial power crisis was being created. He said measures have been taken to overcome shortage of power. "As all the sugar mills are starting from today, cogeneration will happen. We will buy power from outside," he said adding that "we have issued an order that the private companies producing electricity in the state should provide it to the state government."

Refusing to comment on Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar's statement to include Ramanagara to Bengaluru, the chief minister said, "Ask him this question. I don't know about this." He said that he would discuss th e matter with him.

Responding to BJP's tweet that his is an ATM government, the chief minister said it is a false allegation."They executed operation Kamala, gave 25 crore and spent 25 crore. Where did the money come from?" he asked.

"Although there is no money, works have been sanctioned, tenders have been called and the bills have been left pending by the BJP government. Bills amounting to Rs 30,000 crore are outstanding. Who is responsible for making the State go bankrupt? I will present a white paper in the legislature on the economic conditions during our government and the BJP government. People have rejected them for ruining the state. Now politically motivated allegations are made without any truth in it. They are making false allegations," he said.

Asked about the cabinet expansion, he said that there is nothing wrong in legislators aspiring to become a minister. But the High Command will take a call on cabinet expansion, he said.

Reacting to a question that that the opposition party's allegations against the chief minister have increased after the chief minister's statement about the release of report on caste census and said that empty vessels make more noise. "They talk as they are politically desparate," he said.
