Bangalore: Karnataka Lokayukta Makes Assets, Liabilities Public


Bangalore, Aug 25 (PTI): Karnataka Lokayukta Shivaraj Patil has declared his and his wife's assets which are to the tune of over Rs 3.7 crore.

As per the details put up on the Lokayukta website yesterday, the retired Supreme Court judge has immovable assets worth Rs 62,47,556 and his wife Rs 66,34,880.

While Patil owns fixed deposits of Rs 63,33,000, his wife has Rs 10 lakh in deposits.
The total value of assets owned by them has been put at Rs 3,720,0000.

Patil, who assumed office of Lokayukta on August four, has liabilities of Rs 78.72 lakh.

    What is the point in declaring assets without disclosing the source of income.
    Are the Indian citizens interested to know how many people have what money?
