Bangalore: Toyota Kirloskar to Invest Rs 3,800 Crore in Bidadi Plant

Bangalore, Aug 25: Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has decided to expand the company’s scale of business in Bangalore by investing an additional Rs 3,800 crore in its Bidadi plant by 2013.

A delegation led by Hiroshi Nakagawa, Toyota Kirloskar Motor Managing Director, called on Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda on Thursday and discussed the investment proposal.

The company has already invested Rs 5400 crore at its Bidadi plant on the outskirts of Bangalore and it has decided to invest additional Rs 3800 crore by 2013.

The company has provided jobs to 12,900 persons and the additional investment would provide jobs to another 5300 people, Nakagawa told the Chief Minister.

The company has been manufacturing different models of cars, including Toyota Etios sedan and hatchback, from its plant at Bidadi.

The Chief Minister expressed happiness at Toyota Kirloskar Motor’s decision and said the additional investment of the company would enable it to provide more jobs to the youth.

The Company’s Director Shekar Vishwanatha was also present.

    This could be one of best thought by Tayota,Everyone will welcome about investment in bangalore,if we ast even single person about the company they will give good openion,Even big company GRADUATE fighting to get a good job at toyota after 2009 onwards.If company think about graduates thought will be helpful.
