Mangaluru, Oct 27: Namit (24), a resident of Konaje has gone missing from October 25.

Namit had completed his BCom and had taken Rs 25000 from his family to pursue higher education. He told his family that he got admission in a college at Madoor. He used to go in the morning every day saying that he is going to the college and return home in the evening.

On October 17, Namit got Rs 1.25 lac transferred to the college account saying that it is the fee of the college. On October 25, the college authorities called Namit’s father and asked him to take back Rs 1.25 lac as his son did not get admission into their college. When his father asked Namit, he did not respond. Later, Namit went personally to the college and asked the authorities to give him the money. The college authorities got suspicious and called his father.

When Namit’s father arrived at the college, Namit had left the campus. When his father called home, his wife, mother of Namit said that he had come home in an auto-rickshaw and went back in the same vehicle immediately. After that Namit went missing.

Namit is 6’2 tall, wheat complexioned, chiselled face, has black dot on his nose and protruding teeth. He is able to speak Kannada, Tulu, Hindi and English. He was wearing a yellow colour t-shirt and light blue colour jeans when he left home for the last time. Anyone who come across Namit are requested to inform the matter to Konaje police station.
