Bantwal, Aug 26: The Lokayukta officers raided the taluk office here on Thursday August 25 after the deputy commissioner sacked a women employee over gross negligence of duty on Wednesday August 24.

The Lokayukta officers took to task the department officers over lapses in functioning.

The officers instructed survey department officer Govinde Gowda, who has been harassing an applicant who sought information on public boundary marks to provide the information at the earliest.  The officers also investigated the complaint about not paying compensation to a former landlord under Land Tribunal Act and delay in land conversions.
