Mangalore: Pedestrian Killed in Accident

Mangalore, Aug 26: A pedestrian named Sanjeeva Madivala (26), resident of Harekala Pavoor near here, was killed when he was crossing national highway 66 on the night of Wednesday August 24. The accident occurred near Vidyadayini School in Suratkal.

Madivala was engaged in doing centring work for a building under construction on night shift. He had gone away at night to relieve himself, and was crossing the road to come back to his place of work, when a Mahendra maxi cab, which came from Bykampady, hit him. He was seriously injured in the accident. Although he was rushed to a hospital immediately, he did not live for long thereafter.
