Mumbai, Aug 26: Bollywood’s macho man Salman Khan, who is often seen on-screen with a tough-to-penetrate avatar, is now battling acute pain in his jaw, medically referred to as trigeminal neuralgia, from the past few months.

It is learnt that Salman has decided to go in for a second opinion for the treatment of the facial nerve problem. He is expected to fly out to USA on August 27, Saturday.

Sources say that, “Salman is in extreme pain. Every time he eats something extremely hot or cold, the pain intensifies. His jaw region hurts a lot.”

According to reports, the star had the pain for over seven years. Reports say that he used to get spasms on his face.

Just last week, Salman was rushed to Lilavati hospital in Bandra. Yet another source close to the star said, “His pain was too acute. Salman, who is normally a very tough guy, was almost screaming. The doctors at Lilavati suggested that he visits Saifee hospital in Charni Road. At Saifee, he was advised to undergo angiography.”

It will be the first time when Salman will be unavailable for the release of his film ‘Bodyguard’ scheduled to take place on August 31 on Eid. He will be left out of Eid and Ganapati celebrations at his home.
