Udupi, Oct 31: “Success is being happy in life without giving pain to others rather than amassing money, property and fame,” said renowned novelist Yendamuri Virendranath.
Virendranath gave discourse on five steps to success at Bannanje Narayana Guru auditorium on Monday organized by Dr A V Baliga hospital Doddanagudde, Billavara Seva Sangha (Bannanje), Kannada Sahitya Parishad Udupi, Sanskriti World foundation, Harsha Udupi and Kamal V Baliga Charitable trust (Mumbai).
Virendranath further said, “Health, fame, love, wealth, enthusiasim towards life and awareness are the six rules that are required for a successful life. First identify yourself and love. First try to correct yourself. If one cries he is discarded. Only smile gets prizes.
“Spending half an hour everyday with children is extremely happy for the soul. Keep aside time for health every day. If there is control on sleep and food, there is no need to visit hospital even once in life time like me. Nurture children so that they don’t cry, fear or get angry. Mental and physical health is important. Do not have low self-esteem. Identify your strength. No need to worry about what you do not have. Children should not be spectators but achievers.”
