Mumbai, Nov 3: Karnataka Rajyotsava was celebrated at Kannada Bhavan Education Society high school and junior college, one of the prestigious institutes at Fort vicinity of Mumbai on November 1.
Dr Bro who was present, decorated the occasion and spoke to high school students for nearly one hour about Kannada Rajyotsava asking them to speak in Kannada especially at home and preserve the language. “As Kannada has already grown, we only need to preserve it. Living as successful human beings by being educated with the help of valuators and teachers, as per their suggestions and opinions, taking their punishment and education positively should be our aim. I am glad to see the functioning of Kannada Bhavan here who have completed 60 years growing Kannada language by being outside Kannadigas. This is a rare and amazing moment for me,” he said, praising the Kannada Bhavan education society members.
Earlier, education institute principal Amratha A Shetty introduced and welcomed Dr Bro, famous Youtuber and travel blogger who has visited near 20 countries. Shekar A Ameen, honorary secretary of the institute felicitated Dr Bro and introduced him to the children explaining about his pride of Kannada, simplicity, 23 lakh Youtube followers, and that 20 crore people have watched his programmes on YouTube. He explained to Dr Bro the way Kannada Bhavan progressed during the last 60 years.
Children presented various cultural programmes starting with the state anthem. All the teaching and non-teaching staff members were present. School teachers Vittal Manure compered the programme and Shivanand Patil proposed a vote of thanks.
