Bengaluru, Nov 9: Veteran BJP leader, former Karnataka chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda has announced his retirement from electoral politics.

Speaking to news reporters in Hassan, he said that he gained maximum benefit from the party. “I do not desire any more from it”, he said.

He currently represents Bengaluru north Lok Sabha constituency. He said that he has decided not to continue in election politics.

“The BJP party has provided me with everything in my political career of thirty years. I have served as MLA for ten years, as MP for twenty years, as chief minister for one year, as party state president for four years and as cabinet minister in the Narendra Modi government for seven years. People will call me selfish if I wish for more”, he said.
