Classic silhouettes inspire Ankita-Anjana for men's fashion week

New Delhi, Aug 29 (IANS) Designers Ankita and Anjana Bhargav of label ANKY will showcase a collection inspired by classic silhouettes but with a modern touch titled 'NOWthen' at the three-day Van Heusen India Men's Week (VHIMW) that starts Friday.

" 'NOWthen' draws its inspiration from classic silhouettes. They have been viewed from a completely original perspective and given a new form and dimension," said Anjana.

This collection consists of jackets, coats, trousers and few Indian wears in the fabrics that range from silk shibori to soft suede to pashmina.

The colour palette evolves from oyster grey to smoked green towards roasted brown with hints of mahogany.

Asked about the highpoint of the collection, Ankita said: "Topsy-turvy knits form the highlight. These knits can be worn upside down and hence are multi-dimensional, experimental and fun. They take a different shape and form each time they are worn."

The collection is edgy, experimental yet chic and wearable in keeping with the ANKY philosophy that embodies the perfect amalgamation of high street luxe and comfort dressing.

The designers will showcase the collection Friday.
