Udupi, Nov 11: St Mary's English medium school (CBSE) Kannarpady hosted 'Prathiba Sinchana', festival of talents and funfair of the children. The event was held on Saturday November 11 in the school premises.
Fr Denis D'sa, parish priest Thottam church and director of commission for social communication and PRO Diocese of Udupi was the chief guest of the programme.
In his address to the students Fr Denis D'sa said, "I could see Amitabh Bacchan and many celebrity paintings done by the students. The school is celebrating the ruby jubilee year which is a great thing. Today's unique inauguration caught my eyes. I congratulate all those involved in this. We have felicitated many students achievers they are an inspiration to others too. This is the day to unleash your talents. This is the day to shower your talents on this stage today. Every one of you has an artist within you, wake it up your parents, principal and the school will help you to bring it out. Fine arts will bring us together because it is a universal language. Channelize your energy constructively. There are some institutions around us which only prepare student's just for exams. We don't want any robots. Fine arts fine tune your personality. I suggest to introduce a fine arts club for teachers too This will bring many changes. Accept the decision of judges gracefully, appreciate good performance, winning makes you feel good but losing should not demotivate you, humility is the key to success. I wish all the artists for their performance and I congratulate Fr Johnson Sequiera for the initiave."
Fr Charles Menezes, correspondent presided over the function. He said, "Talent is what you are. We need to be idiots to excel in our life. Today many are performing here I wish them the very bes."
