Udupi: Fellowship meal for public held as part of Katapadi Church Platinum jubilee celebrations

Udupi, Nov 12: Katpadi St Vincent de Paul Church on the occasion of its Platinum jubilee  celebration held a fellowship lunch for all the public  on Saturday November 11,  in the church premises.

Fr  Stany B Lobo, parish priest  of St Francis Xavier Church, Udyavara blessed the public offering of food.

Speaking on the occasion he said that “The public food offering organized by the Katpadi Church on the occasion of Diwali is a good way to spread peace, harmony and love to each other. Through this, everyone should be inspired to live a life of coexistence”.

On the occasion of public food offering, a horekanike procession was held on Friday November 10 with the participation of people of all religions.

In the public fellowship meal  program, the devotees of the church and the people of the village participated  and received the prasadam.

Parish priest of  Katpadi Church Fr Rajesh Pasanna, director of Katpadi Holy Cross Student Home Fr Ronson D'Souza, vice president of parish pastoral  committee Brian Correa, secretary Teresa Lobo, coordinator of 20 commissions Louis D'Silva and other office bearers were present.
