Udupi, Dec 6: The general body meeting of Karavali Sangeetha Kalavidara Okkoota Dakshina Kannada and Udupi was held recently. Well-known tabla artist Deepak Raj Ullal was elected president of the Okkoota unopposed for the year 2023-24.

Ivan Richard D’ Souza Mangaluru and Radhakrishna Bhat Udupi were elected as vice presidents, Keshava Kanila as chief secretary, Chaitra Kadambar Mangaluru and Janardhan Padmashali Udupi as joint secretaries, Sathish Ira as treasurer, Dinakar Pandeshwar Mangaluru and Subhashith Udupi as organizing secretaries and Ram Kumar Mangaluru and Mukta Srinivas Udupi were elected as conveners.

Harish Mulki, Dhanuraj Attavara, Jyothi, Dhanyashree, V J Deviprasad, Ravi Koppa, Clifford D’ Souza, Sushmita, Prakash Gatti and Dinesh Nayak were elected as executive committee members.

V Raghavendra was appointed as auditor and K R Karanth was elected as internal auditor.

Legal advisor of the Okkoota, advocate Sathish Bhat conducted the election process. Former president Mohan Prasad Nanthoor handed over the charge to the new committee.
