Mangaluru: Milagres College organizes annual sports meet

Mangaluru, Dec 7: Milagres College, Hampankatta organized annual sports day on December 6. The inaugural ceremony was held at Mangala stadium.

Eula Pinto, a well-wisher of Milagres college was the chief guest, Fr Bonaventure Nazareth presided over the inaugural function. Premnath Ullal, International Kabaddi Referee and district Rajyothsava awardee, Fr Udaya Fernandes, principal Milagres Central School, Melywn Vas, PUC principal, Patsy Vas PTA, president, Fr Micheal Santhumayor, campus director and principal, Aakash Shetty, physical director and Shreyan S, sports secretary were present.

A total of 10 students represented ten renowned, ten sports persons of India. Four students who have represented college at state and national level sport events were the torch bearers for the day. All the students participated in the march past lead by the core committee of the student council and NCC.

Jacintha Fernandes was the chief guest. Runners up place was bagged by second year BCom students and the overall championship was bagged by first year BCom batch. Individual achievers were awarded with cash prizes. A total of 602 students and staff were present.
