Karkala, Dec 10: A collision occurred between a private bus and a Mahindra jeep on the Nitte Manjalpake state highway, leading to injuries for some of the passengers on Sunday, December 10 evening.

Upon reaching the accident site, the emergency medical team (EMT) consisting of Devaki and pilot Kotresh from the 108 ambulance service attended to the injured individuals.

The bus was moving towards Belman while the Jeep was coming from the opposite side.

The bus hit a road side tree after the raming into the jeep.

As per the primary details a family was travelling in the jeep. 

The bus named Reshma was on its way to Mumbai and the family was travelling by jeep were towards Sringeri.

The affected passengers were subsequently transported to the Karkala taluk government hospital for further medical assistance. Later 12 of them were shifted to KMC Hospital in Manipal. Further details are awaited.
