Udupi: Senior Citizen Club, Brahma Kumaris jointly organize Cyber Crime Awareness programme

Udupi, Dec 13: ‘Cyber Crime Awareness’ programme organised by Senior Citizen Club Manipal and Brahma Kumaris Manipal on December 12 at Brahma Kumaris Manipal branch.

On the occasion, T V Devaraj, inspector of Manipal Police Station gave a detailed account of various types of fraud, cheating, by misusing technology at present. “Cybercrime is not only about money laundering but also about cheating on things like jobs, loans, marriage and other things,” he said.

Senior citizens and other general public attended the event and got answer to many questions. Audience actively participated in question-and-answer session and got answer to all their questions.

T V Devaraj was honoured on the occasion with shawl and a memento.

B K Saurabh, coordinator, Brahma Kumaris Manipal branch, explained the importance of ‘Raja Yoga’ and control of mind and intellect to be aware of cyber scams in today’s time. Audience practiced raja yoga for a few minutes.
