Udupi: Mortal remains of man who jumped from Udyavar bridge found

Udupi, Dec 14: The lifeless body of Ravindra Bhat (55), a resident near the city court, was discovered late in the evening on Wednesday, December 13. Ravindra had left his residence around 4 am that day, mentioning that he was going to pick up a parcel. Subsequently, he went missing.

Investigation revealed that Ravindra had ridden his scooter to Udyavar bridge, where he tragically jumped into the river after parking the scooter on the road. The Kaup police, alerted to the incident, conducted a search operation, ultimately locating his mortal remains near Ankudru later in the evening.

Ravindra Bhat, employed as a salesman at an electronics shop, took this extreme step for reasons that remain unknown.

The Udupi city police station has registered a case in connection.
