Mangalore: Interact Club Installed at Lourdes Central School

The installation ceremony of the Interact Club, a Rotary-sponsored service club for youngsters was held at Lourdes Central School, Bejai here on Wednesday September 7.
 
Addressing the gathering Rotary president Dr Vijay Pai said that the Rotary club of Mangalore 'Sunrise' is a service-oriented association to serve the less privileged people in the society.

Dr Pai also said that the Interact Club, with members of secondary school students aged between 14 and 18, is globally connected to give humanitarian services, develop leadership skills and teach professional ethics.
 
The chief guest on the occasion Rtn Ashok Kumar said that Interact Club is self-governed and self-supportive and each club undertakes at least two major service projects a year, one in the community and one to foster global peace and goodwill.
 
Secretary Valerian, Interact chairman Kamalesh Baldev, Chetan Sureja, principal deisgnate Fr Ferdinand Gonvsalves, principal Grace Noronha, Fr Victor Machado among others were present.
