Margao: ‘Srujanotsav-2011’ Concludes

Margao, Sep 10: The valedictory function of ‘Srujanotsav- a festival of creativity’ was organized by the Department of Konkani of Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science, here.

‘Srujanotsav-2011’ was inaugurated by Sahitya Academi award winner in Konkani Arun Sakhardande. Well known King of laughter Prince Jacob was the chief guest for the valedictory function.

As a part of regular activity ‘Meet the Author’ students had discussion with noted Konkani writer and Sahitya Academi Award winner Mahabaleshwar Sail.

The prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions conducted during the week of creativity by Prince Jacob in the presence of Principal Dr R V Gaonkar.

In his address, Jacob urged students to dream high and work hard to achieve the dreams. Dedication and sheer efforts are the secrets of happy and successful life. “You belong to a prestigious institution of high standards,” he added. Prince Jacob congratulated the Department of Konkani for organizing this activity for the last fifteen years. He also appealed the students to take maximum benefit of the beautiful infrastructure and the modern facilities available at the college campus.

Chief co-ordinator Dr Gunaji Desai was also present.

    It was such an unforgettable experience taking part in the various competitions.the whole Srujanotsav-2011 was a grand success.The teachers did a fabulous job.Konkani rocks!!
