Udupi, Sep 10: “One is faced with the challenges of rapidly changing times and the youth will have a bright future provided they develop mental agility and skills to face the challenging times,” said deputy commissioner Dr Reju.
 
Dr Reju was speaking after inaugurating a three-day workshop on orientation to psychiatry at Dr A V Baliga Institute of Science and Rural Development, Harady, near here, on Thursday September 8.


 

“The need of the hour is train students in order to face the challenges of times, rather than secure better jobs.  If one determines to work for social welfare by working honestly; the menace of corruption will end,” added Dr Reju.
 
Dr Sripati M Bhat said that cultural background and general behaviour indeed influence an individual.  “All situations can be effectively managed by a steady mind,” he added.
 
Dr A V Baliga Institute correspondent Professor P V Bhandary presided over the programme.
 
Vice-principal Dr H V Somayaji and Dr A V Baliga College principal Professor Chandrashekar Hebbar were present on the occasion.
 
Dr A V Baliga Institute director Dr P V Bhandary welcomed the gathering.  Sapna Ganesh and Padma Heroor compered the programme.
