Mangaluru: Amit Singh takes charge as new DIG of Western Zone

Mangaluru, Jan 1: Amit Singh officially assumed office as the new DIG of the Western Zone on Monday, January 1.

After assuming the position, Singh asserted a strong stance against illegal activities, emphasising a zero-tolerance policy towards issues such as drugs and communalism. He also announced increased vigilance and monitoring efforts in tackling cyber crimes.

Amit Singh takes over from his predecessor Chandragupta, who has been transferred to Bengaluru.

 

 

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Dakshina Kannada district SP C B Rishyanth and Udupi district SP Dr Arun Kumar.

The new DIG's commitment to crack down on illegal activities and enhance cyber crime surveillance marks the beginning of his tenure in the Western Zone.

    I think IAS and IPS officers are required to know 2nd Grade Kannada....if he does not know...he will learn...don't worry....I have seen People of India working in Gulf Countries and being able to communicate in Arabic....Necessity is mother of Invention....By the by Golibaje is called Golibaje in all languages including Kannada....Tak...Takk...

    Alok Kumar is from Bihar he speaks kannada fluently. Law enforcement officers are for protection & prevention of crime not for language study. Plus they are trained to speak several languages. You can ask this question to kannada sanga in Bangalore who destroyed sign boards.
