I was there in the celebration of Monti feast at the Sudupadesha Seminery Chapel, Hennur. It was the first time the feast was celebrated there. There were about 250 people and arround 40 children and all of them participated in the flower showering ceremony and Rev Fr Jossy Fernands was the main celebrant with four other priests. All those present were given Kesari Bath and Khara Bath and all present were also given sugar Cane. It was a very delightful sight to see so many Konkani Catholics participating, along with their children all dressed in colourful attire and there was a festive mood everywhere.
Sad part was that the Car-Tyres of
the office bearers were made flat by some mischief mongers for the reasons best known to them. Any way bigining was good and It has to be taken forward regularly as there are hardly ao families attached to Hennur Parish.
