Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (MS)

Udupi, Jan 4: The mortal remains of Murugeshan (58), a fisherman hailing from Tamil Nadu, who had tragically fallen into the sea at Malpe port along with his scooter on Monday, was discovered near Papanashini river, close to Sea Walk at the port, on Tuesday.

Murugeshan was engaged in net weaving work at Malpe Port. On that fateful Monday morning, after retrieving the scooter key from the boat's cabin, he mentioned that he would return after a quick tea break.

Unfortunately, he accidentally plunged into the sea along with his scooter. Despite successfully recovering the scooter from the water, Murugeshan could not be located.

This is a very sad incident and let us not please speculate and generalize... I have seen the Dhakke and it is really deep... Usually they do not have barriers as boats park there... It is not advisable to ride close to such unprotected edges of deep water... Mistakes are human but at times they get far too expensive like in this case... RIP to the departed soul...

this is clear cut case of thotte mahatme...most of the fishermen in malpe area stink of alcohol...if we go to sea walk and just happen to pay visit to the fishing port....the stench of alcohol is more than the fish...
