Kasargod, Jan 8: The lifeless body of a female member of the panchayat was discovered on the roadside near Mogral Puttur.
The deceased is identified as Pushpa (45), a third ward member of Mogral Puttur panchayat and a member of the Muslim League party.
A resident found her on Monday, January 8 afternoon. Although she was rushed to Kasargod hospital on an auto-rickshaw with the help of local people, she had already passed away.
Her body was found near Kotagudde quarters, Mogral Puttur.
It is reported that she had gone to the house of her relatives. The cause of her death is yet to be determined.
Her mortal remains are kept at Kasargod General Hospital mortuary.
